Catching problems early can save you much money in the long run.

Hydroremont IG diver/technicians can carry out inspections underwater and on- site very swiftly without disturbing the vessel’s sailing schedule.

With fuel costs amounting to 40% of operational expenses and con­tinuing to rise, reducing fuel con­sumption is a vital concern of ship owners. Under­water hull roughness, marine foul­ing, bent propellers and poor paint condition are all factors that will increase fuel usage due to the drag or inefficiency created by the dam­aged or affected area. The data gathered can then be used to see if actions are required.

Our diver/technicians are trained for a wide range of operations and they can carry out the inspections in port or at anchor anywhere in the world.

Commercial divers are extremely skilled professionals. They often work in dangerous circumstances and require the proper training and certification necessary to meet regulations of the local authority. A commercial diving career is often physically demanding

Some of the main diving activities include underwater cutting, welding, machine cleaning, underwater inspection of the condition of underwater steel or wood structures, installation of various elements – lattices, savages, etc.In order to become a professional diver, you need to have good swimming skills and be in good physical health. Besides being in good shape, age is one of the physical factors you might need to consider too.The history of underwater diving starts with freediving as a widespread means of hunting and gathering, both for food and other valuable resources such as pearls and coral.

Limitations in mobility of the surface supplied systems encouraged the development of both open circuit and closed circuit scuba in the 20th century, which allow the diver a much greater autonomy.

The heavy free-flow surface supplied copper helmets evolved into lightweight demand helmets, which are more economical with breathing gas, which is particularly important for deeper dives and expensive helium based breathing mixtures, and saturation diving reduced the risks of decompression sickness for deep and long exposures.

Isolation of the diver from the environment was taken further by the development of remotely operated underwater vehicles in the late 20th century, where the operator controls the ROV from the surface, and autonomous underwater vehicles, which dispense with an operator altogether.

The diving bell is one of the earliest types of equipment for underwater work and exploration. Diving bells were developed in the 16th and 17th century as the first significant mechanical aid to underwater diving.

Kirby Morgan Maintenance and Repair Technician Training Course

Specialists from “Hydroremont IG” took a “Kirby Morgan” training course.

The Helmet and Band Mask course is designed and intended to teach commercial divers, tenders, and technicians how to perform routine maintenance, inspections and repair of Kirby Morgan Helmets and Bank Masks and instructs personnel in the KMDSI/Dive Lab recommended configuration and use of KMDSI Helmets and Band Masks.

The course covers the demand regulator, side block overhaul, as well as all recommended owner level repairs, including face port insert testing
