Underwater repairs of dam walls and water intake towers

June 22nd, 2018

The customer pays to get the best results without losing any unnecessary time. So that is what we deliver.

The scope of work is agreed upon in advance after a thorough underwater inspection and the assignor is given the exact duration of the operation. Our many years of experience with a wide array of underwater repairs enable us to make an accurate estimation of the needed time for the underwater works.

Trying to lengthen the job is un- beneficial for the customer as well as for us because it is in direct opposition to what we are trying to establish: a relationship based on trust and excellent results. We give clear answers to any questions we receive and we deliver what we promise.

Over the years we have built long-lasting relationships with our customers and partners. Correct and direct communication is an essential factor in establishing and maintaining a network you can rely on. This allows us to quickly arrange the equipment needed for an operation.

We understand how important it is for the customers to keep their schedule. Delay for days or even weeks to have underwater repairs carried out or unplanned downhill drop of the dam  costs a tremendous amount of money. That is why we have developed technologies that allow us to perform underwater repairs within a very short time and to dry dock standards.

HYDROREMONT IG- underwater inspections

June 13th, 2018

Underwater inspections are an essential aspect of ship repairs. Taking advantage of the latest technology and know-how, Hydoremont IG offers a unique hull monitoring service to its customers. This gives ship owners total control of the underwater hull and the underwater gear of their vessels. An informed decision can then be made concerning any required follow-up action. Catching problems early can save you much money in the long run.

Hydroremont IG diver/technicians can carry out inspections underwater and on- site very swiftly without disturbing the vessel’s sailing schedule.

With fuel costs amounting to 40% of operational expenses and continuing to rise, reducing fuel consumption is a vital concern of ship owners. Underwater hull roughness, marine fouling, bent propellers and poor paint condition are all factors that will increase fuel usage due to the drag or inefficiency created by the damaged or affected area. The data gathered can then be used to see if actions are required.

Our diver/technicians are trained for a wide range of operations and they can carry out the inspections in port or at anchor anywhere in the world.

The owner of the vessel can start enjoying the fuel savings the propulsion improving device creates right away. Not having to wait for the next scheduled drydocking to have the propeller cone fin installed. He will have earned back the cost of the underwater installation in only a few months. The savings are considerable.

Underwater welding

November 20th, 2017

Underwater technologies take special role in modern offshore and inshore facilities, pipelines, ships and also in underwater structures which are used in oil and gas production.

Maintenance of structures or eventual repairs under the water line demand application of sophisticated technologies such as underwater welding.

It is unique process which integrates several, on the first sight, contradictory phenomena as water, gas, electricity and electric arc , everything constricted in a small space and short time.

Interactions of mentioned physical phenomena presents not only the huge risk for the weld quality but life threatening safety risk for the welder.

Due to high safety risks, great importance and responsibility in performing of these activities is on the highly trained and educated human resources, including divers and organization team on the surface. Specially designed equipment and technique is necessary for successful accomplishing of practical tasks.

“Hydroremont IG” Ltd is leading in professional diving activities in Bulgaria, established as performer of specialized underwater activities, construction and reconstruction of hydrotechnical constructions.

Our specialists have a big experience in performing a range of underwater works- such as underwater welding and cutting. Our goal is to provide expert and higher quality diving services.

Commercial diver

September 18th, 2017

Commercial divers are extremely skilled professionals. They often work in dangerous circumstances and require the proper training and certification necessary to meet regulations of the local authority. A commercial diving career is often physically demanding

Some of the main diving activities include underwater cutting, welding, machine cleaning, underwater inspection of the condition of underwater steel or wood structures, installation of various elements – lattices, savages, etc.In order to become a professional diver, you need to have good swimming skills and be in good physical health. Besides being in good shape, age is one of the physical factors you might need to consider too. The history of underwater diving starts with freediving as a widespread means of hunting and gathering, both for food and other valuable resources such as pearls and coral.

Limitations in mobility of the surface supplied systems encouraged the development of both open circuit and closed circuit scuba in the 20th century, which allow the diver a much greater autonomy.

The heavy free-flow surface supplied copper helmets evolved into lightweight demand helmets, which are more economical with breathing gas, which is particularly important for deeper dives and expensive helium based breathing mixtures, and saturation diving reduced the risks of decompression sickness for deep and long exposures.

Isolation of the diver from the environment was taken further by the development of remotely operated underwater vehicles in the late 20th century, where the operator controls the ROV from the surface, and autonomous underwater vehicles, which dispense with an operator altogether.

The diving bell is one of the earliest types of equipment for underwater work and exploration. Diving bells were developed in the 16th and 17th century as the first significant mechanical aid to underwater diving.

Kirby Morgan Maintenance and Repair Technician Training Course

August 31st, 2017

Specialists from “Hydroremont IG” took a “Kirby Morgan” training course.
